A Robert Burns Song Workshop
Monday, July 13, 2026
8PM at the Mayflower Club

Award-winning Scots singer Iona Fyfe invites you to participate in an in-person Robert Burns Song Workshop, open to people of all ages and abilities. No fluency in Scots is required and all materials will be provided.

We will learn 2-3 folk songs in the Scots language and we'll do some listening of source, revivalist, and contemporary interpretations of the songs as well. Lyrics will be provided.

The Celtic Arts Center is very excited to be hosting Iona for the second time in four years. In 2022, we were Iona's first concert venue in the United States. In 2026, we welcome her back to spread the seeds of Scots culture and create more Scots singers.

The workshop will take place in the upstairs boardroom at 8:00 PM on Monday, July 13th alongside our regular Monday Night session and arts programming at the Mayflower Club. This unique, one-night only workshop runs from 8:00 PM to a little past 10:00 PM, with a 20-minute break at the midpoint.
