Headlining the festivities is BLACK 47, the raucous, high octane Irish-American band that has come to be known as “the house band for New York City.”
Opening for BLACK 47 is SLIGO RAGS, the Celtic-oriented trio voted Best Folk Act in Orange County at the 2004 and 2005 Orange County Music Awards, who will be accompanied by celebrated competitive Irish step dancers Megan Kirk, Adam Kirk, John Smith and Alanah Myrick.
This special, one-night-only event will be hosted, on behalf of The Celtic Arts Center, by the well-known Irish-American actor MARTY MAGUIRE. The concert will take place Saturday, September 9th at 8 PM, at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre in Hollywood.
TICKETS: $30 and $35 for general admission, and $12 for full-time students with ID and children 12 and under.
The Ford Amphitheatre is located at 2580 Cahuenga Blvd. East in Hollywood, California, just off the 101 Hollywood Freeway across from the Hollywood Bowl and south of Universal Studios. The grounds open two hours before showtime for picnicking. The Ford offers a number of dining options: a variety of food and beverages is available on site and box dinners for evening events may be ordered in advance. Patrons are welcome to bring their own food and drink. The Ford is disabled accessible. Portable wireless listening devices are available upon request.
PARKING: On-site, stacked parking costs $5 per vehicle for evening shows. There's additional FREE non-stacked parking serviced by a FREE shuttle to the Ford is available at the Universal City Metro Station lot at Lankershim Blvd. and Campo de Cahuenga.
