Lá Lughnasa Fleá Cheoil *
Fundraiser Concert & Showcase
Sunday Afternoon, August 2nd, 2009

(* Pronounced "law loonasa flah khyole")

For the Celts, the month of 'Lúghnasa' (Gaelic for "August") has always been a time for getting together to have fun and celebrate. In that same spirit, the Celtic Arts Center will be holding a fundraiser concert and showcase event all afternoon on Sunday, August 2nd. This fundraising event will be held at the theatre of the historic Aztec Hotel in Monrovia, CA. The hotel has donated the space for the afternoon and we plan to have performances of music, song and dance throughout the day to entertain people of all ages. All money raised from admission ticket sales and the raffle will added the Center's relocation fund.

The event begins at 12 Noon.
The performances will be on-going until 6:30PM.

Many local performers and Celtic Arts Center members will contribute to the day's performances and activities.

Here are just some of the talented folks that will appear on stage: Storyteller True Thomas, Michael Patrick Breen's LA Irish Set Dancers, David Nigel Lloyd, harpist Eva Gordon, Los Angeles Scottish Fiddlers, The Celtic Divas, An Cór Ceilteach - The Celtic Arts Center choir, harpist Stephanie Bennett with Bette Ozburn, Lisa Melina, world-class Irish stepdancers Megan & Adam Kirk, and much more.

Sorry about the lack of a performance schedule, however, for more details and information please call this event's coordinator, Adrien, at 818.392.8102.
