Samhain, the Celtic New Year (aka "Hallowe'en") is upon us!The Celtic Arts Center will be celebrating this year through the combined magic of remote technology and otherworldly performances sprung from the Celtic imagination. On Friday, October 30th at 8:00 p.m. we will bring to you a spirited array of traditional singers and musicians, faeries dancing, dramatic storytellers and poetry readers, and visual artists and animators. One of the unique features of this year's Samhain celebration will be a Virtual Ancestors Table video slideshow honoring those that have passed beyond the veil. Samhain is a celebration of the end of the harvest and the beginning of the ancient Celtic New Year. Meaning “Summer's End” in Irish, it is pronounced saah-wen.
