President

[ S/he is responsible for setting the direction of the Board of Directors towards overseeing that the mission statement of the organization is integrated into all aspects of the organization and that the organization meets all requirements to maintain legal non-profit status. Works with the Board of Directors and Executive Director to insure that the organization is fiscally sound and insure the integrity of financial transactions and commitments.]

Ongoing Responsibilities:
• Schedules and facilitates monthly meetings of the Board and the Executive Committee.
• Serves as Chairperson of the Board of Directors as a non-voting member except as a tiebreaker.
• Signs all legal contracts.
• Initiates procedures to address areas of operation which have been identified as problematic and in need of organizational structure and support.
• Reports deliberations and decisions of the Executive Committee to the Board in a timely manner.

Ad-Hoc Responsibilities:
• When appropriate, represents the organization to the members and the community at large.

Skills Required:
• Commitment to the mission statement of the organization.
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills
• Prior leadership experience in private or non-profit organizations would be beneficial.
